Indoor Ceiling Fan Advice

There are many benefits to incorporating ceiling fans into your home's design. Using ceiling fans throughout your home greatly reduces energy costs while also providing comfort, style & beautiful lighting. We have expanded and updated our range of fans to complement your desired home.
It is important to choose your fan by room. We recommend you have the fan complement your features & finishes within your designed décor.

Fan Size vs Room Size

The right size fan keeps you comfortable, protects the motor, and can save you money.
A fan that is too small for a large room will feel weak and underwhelming, while a fan that's too large for a small room can feel overpowering

Things to consider

• Keep fan blades at least 2.1 metres above the floor.
• Ensure blades clear cupboard doors when in use.
• Blades should never cross a light source to avoid light flicker.
• Always keep fans well clear of bunk beds.
• Make sure the fan is mounted to a secure, stable fixing point.

Rule of numbers

At Zebbies, our motors are carefully selected to handle each fans' blade count with ease.
Instead of focusing on the motor, choose your fan based on its size, style, and intended location.

All Zebbies fans are factory-balanced, but we also include a balancing kit should you need it.
Every Zebbies fan comes with a 2-year warranty, and we carry spare parts for all models.

Ceiling fans in summer

The summer setting, found on the motor or fan remote, sets the fan to rotate counter-clockwise when viewed from below.
This pushes air downward, speeding up sweat evaporation and helping you feel up to 8°C cooler. The overall room temperature feels a few degrees lower as well, allowing you to reduce air conditioning use and potentially cut cooling costs by up to 40%.

Ceiling fans in winter

The winter setting, found on the motor or fan remote, sets the fan to rotate clockwise.

When run at a low speed, this setting pulls warm air down from the ceiling, gently redistributing heat without creating a chilly breeze. Depending on your fan and room size, this can help reduce heating costs by up to 15%.

Installation of fans

This is not a DIY product. Fans must be installed by a qualified electrician, as stated in our warranty. To assist the electrician simple step-by-step instructions are supplied and must be read carefully before installation begins.

All Zebbies ceiling fans have a 2 year warranty
