Maintaining Outdoor Lights

Whehether you are situated at the coast or further inland, maintaining your outdoor lights is very important, especially if you would like to get the full life span from the light fitting.
When installing your fitting add a little grease or Vaseline onto the threading of the screws, this will help you have easy access to the globes should you need to replace them or removing the fitting off your wall. Having your outdoor light wiped down will eliminate any dirt build up on the lens and will allow your light to throw its full illumination. To help prevent any rust or oxidization it is recommended to wipe your outdoor lights down with a damp cloth to clear any salt build-up then use a dry cloth and apply some baby oil to your fitting.
